Tacqueria El Paisano in Dallas

We use to like this place everything has changed they started charging more for everything, the nachos and salsa they would bring to the table are now $5.99 so if you want them you would have to pay for them too. Also they only sale rice beans and tacos if you ask for tortillas they do not sale them. Very disappointed 😡

You can go wrong coming here, just expect getting good tacos and thats it.

Great tacos and quick for a work-lunch!

The food is really good but one time we went there we waited 2 hours for our food and it never even came, a family went in 30 minutes after we went in and got their food first! And then they left and we still did not have our food and I'm not just talking about 1 family, many families that had more people got their food first ; Very dissapointed with this place. This was back last year but I think it still has the bad service it used to have.

We went in late and the service and food were fantastic. I love the fajita tacos and the sauces. They have great flavor and spices. Only down side is the parking is crazy besides that all good here

If you like spicy food then you’ll love this place! The salsa is warm and spicy. The street tacos are always fresh and well seasoned. They come with generous portions of meat and toppings. Also, the tacos are served with a spicy red sauce and green sauce, which are both very flavorful. The only downside is that the place is old and worn down and could use a remodeling. Otherwise, great food!

Basically, I went to Harry Hines to purchase a mattress and on my way out I asked, Who's got the best tacos on this side of town? She sent me here and it was the best I had in a long time. Great service as well.

Good food but worst service ever. We had to ask the young girl to take our order bc they kept ignoring many table that had walked in. Most of the servers were sitting down in a table either eating or just sitting and doing nothing... Starring at all pf the people walking in.

Best Tacos EVER 5 stars for that. Insanely expensive 2 stars there. Around two dollars per taco.

Great tacos even better salsa if your a fan or red or green you cant go wrong. The chips and salsa are great as well if your eating inside. They also have a huge selection on traditional mexican dishes. Horchata is highly recommended.

I'm from the SF Bay area and was in Dallas for work and had a craving for legit Mexican food so I asked around and was told to check this place out. This place was ridiculous (in a good way). The area is a little sketchy, but the restaurant is really good.

Never judge a place by its looks or the area its in. Though it could use some updating, Taqueria El Paisano may not look like a fancy 5 star restuarant but the food and service definitely makes it one. I had tacos al pastor and a fajita quesadilla(so good I ordered a second). I ate the tacos to fast to get a picture so you bet they were delicious as well. The salsa had a nice kick but I dont do well with hot foods so it might not as hot for some. Well worth it if your in the area.

I came to this place because of the good reviews this place has. I really regret it, they will charge you extra for chips and salsa, also if u ask for ice they will charge u extra as well. I was like, what kind of place is this??? The tacos are really greasy, expensive and the meat doesnt have any flavor at all. If you are looking for true mexican tacos go somewhere else. This place doesnt take debit or credit cards so its a cash only place.

I have bought tacos from this same place every weekend for 20yrs. They are good!

Asked for 2 green salsas and refused to give them to me after spending 30 dollar on some dry meat tacos. When I got home and checked, they only came with one red salsa. I was infuriated. Would definitely not recommend. Overpriced

Its not that bad needs Maintenance other then that the food it good I had menudo and it was good

It was perfect every time we go to Dallas and if we want tacos we just said the tacos from Dallas because they're the only people that know how to make good tacos

I love this place. Although no one speaks english were able to esplain to the waiter what we wanted. I will be back. Tacos are amazing!

Tacos are good but place busy and not enough parking .

The food and service are top notch. I go once every couple of months and enjoy it.

Love the hot sauce can't have to much of it I think they hide from me when I come in,they know me to well I tend to eat a week's supply when I come, foods delicious but I come just for the tacos ,sauce and chips

I love paisano they have the best chips and salsa ever and the tacos are delicious too but they disappointed me for the first time. The tacos and the salsa were really salty my boyfriend had to take a few bites every 10mins. I would still come here because it's my favorite taco spot but it's better to eat the tacos there instead of getting them to go but we had no choice but to get the to go

USE CASH ONLY!!! I went with my family over the weekend & our total was $83 & on top of that i left a nice tip. I get to checking my bank statements and they charged $93 on my card. Mind you the receipt i signed was for $83. I called them numerous times to resolve the issue but “they don’t know how to refund the money” but they sure do know how to STEAL. i never could get in contact with the manager or maybe she’s just avoiding me. They also have a number on the receipt that is no longer in service so i had to google the number. No one helped resolve my issue. I had to file a fraud claim just to get my money back from the bank.

The tacos are like no others,Oh! and the salsa, can't be duplicated.Combined you have the perfect taco.The only thing though ,if your not familiar with the hood dont freakout .Parking can be a lil hectic sometimes......they are worth it.....

They have 3 little restaurant's together and serve some really good tacos and food and before COVID they get really busy

Don't recommen this place at all, come at your own risk and don't forget to sharpen your teeth. The tacos are hard AF and not good at all. The prices for the food are crazy high, might as well go to a steak house !!Come at your own Risk!!

This is one of my Top 10 places to eat in all of Texas. Make sure you bring cash, or you will have to use their ATM machine inside. Everytime I go to Dallas, I stop by this restaurant. Their tacos are hot and tasty, affordable, and consistent. Out of the dozens of times I've been here, I've only had two negative experiences because the food was cold (both times were past 2 a.m.). Other than those two instances, 10/10. I bring my friends here all the time, and they love their food. I ONLY order their fajita tacos. I've never ordered anything else here besides drinks, so I am only vouching for their fajita tacos. I highy recomment this place!

I am in Dallas for a few days and wanted to find good Mexican food. What a great find this place is. Great authentic tacos for just under $2 each. Amazing flavor and great people. Can’t get anymore authentic.

This place used to be real good, now they overcharge you for everything. I went there yesterday ordered 13 tacos and an horchata it turned out to be $48.87. I do not recommend this place to anyone!! There are better and cheaper tacos around.

They have good days and bad days. Lately they've been having more bad than good. When they have a good day the food is great and some of the best tacos. But on bad days they're food is dry and their chips are stale. It's hit and miss with this place.

Food is only good when the place is busy. If not the tacos sit there ready . Till someone orders it. Tacos are amazing when fresh. I would recommend going on the weekends when the place is packed.
